An independent toy store attached to an arcade, with putt putt and laser tag in the back. Board games, science kits, and Pokemon — the answer to a rainy afternoon with kids in the car.

A large nonprofit thrift store on West Canal with a food pantry attached. Books and clothing turn over quickly.
Time it right
Every first Friday of the month except January, the shops stay open late and downtown fills with street musicians and food trucks. Trolley No. 85 runs loops through town. It's the single best day to shop Wabash, and it pairs naturally with a show — see the show-night guide.
